Triple cased set of European arms signed "Aury of St. Etienne" on the locks of dueling target pistols. Gold inlaid "Canon Damas" on nicely tobacco browned octagon barrels of approximately .45 caliber rifled. One is in classic French Mid-19th century form with fluted and carved half stocks along with nicely engraved locks and mounts showing satin case colors or "French Gray" finish. The duelers work perfectly and are in near fine condition. The second pistol is present showing folding trigger and ebony stock with Belgium proofed barrel. Measures 7" overall with a 2 1/8" barrel of approximately .46 caliber with screw off barrel. Lightly cleaned but near fine also. Its mate is missing and undoubtedly matched. Also the large size mold is missing. Small mold/barrel wrench is included with flask combo nipple wrench screwdriver, mallet, cap box and rods included. The lining is original and very good with minor impressions, small tatters and fading. Both compartment covers are original. The exterior of the case is very good plus with slight aging. Key to box retained. Dueling sets with 4 pistols are rare. It may be possible to match the missing second pistol as it is a generic size and type. (Antique) Est.: $5,000-$10,000
