Mossberg Model 42M-B US Training bolt action rifle, .22 caliber, Serial #23869. The rifle is in good overall condition with a 22” barrel, marked United States Property. The receiver is also US property marked and features British proofs as well. The rifle was likely a “Lend-Lease” issue and features the Mossberg S102 receiver sight intended to emulate the rear sight of the British Lee-Enfield No. 4 for training purposes. The metal surfaces retain the majority of their blue finish and the receiver has been drilled and tapped. The smooth wood stock is a replacement and is in good condition with only handling marks. The rifle is missing the trigger guard. The lot includes one correct magazine. The bore is good, the action is crisp and markings are sharp on this desirable WWII training rifle. Est.: $60-$120.
