Mauser Model 1871 bolt action rifle, 11.15 x 60 caliber, Serial #68311. The rifle is in good overall condition with a 33” barrel with a blade front and military tangent style rear sights. The metal surfaces have gone to a silver/grey patina with light surface erosion and areas of pinprick pitting. The receiver has several proofs and is marked, Amberg with a crown. The smooth wood stock is in fair condition having been partially sanded with numerous mars and dents. The butt stock retains the cleaning rod, sling swivels and ends with a smooth steel butt plate. The bore is fair, the action is crisp and the markings are sharp on this Mauser. Est.: $200-$400. (Antique).
