Springfield Model 1903 bolt action sporting rifle, .30-06 caliber, Serial #4041630. The rifle is in good overall condition as re-finished with a 24” barrel dated 9-43. The metal surfaces retain nearly all of a quality re-blue. The bolt handled has been thinned and contoured to allow scope mounting. The smooth wood sporting stock is a replacement with ebony fore end and cheek piece. The butt stock ends with a plastic butt plate. The rifle is topped with Weaver mounts and a Simmons 3 x 9 x 50 variable power scope. The bore is good, the action is crisp and markings are sharp. Est.: $100-$200. (C+R).
