Colt Model 1860 fluted Army percussion revolver, .44 caliber, 8” barrel, grey patina, wood grips, S/N 1607 with Colt factory letter confirming features and importantly noting shipment to the heart of the Confederacy, William T. Martin, Natchez, Mississippi on January 17, 1861 (prior to President Lincoln stopping the sale of firearms to the South), 160 guns in shipment; also mentioned in letter: “Special Features: Furnished with 80 flasks, 80 shoulder stocks and 80 holsters”; overall good to very good condition with a crisp action, very good bore, very good markings including correct S/N stamped in cylinder flute, very good grips.
