Colt SAA revolver, non-factory scroll engraved, .44/40 caliber, 5.5” barrel, grey patina, thick stag grips, S/N 165703 with “TMC” inscribed on back strap and “HACKSAW” marked on butt strap; overall good condition with a good bore, crisp action, good grips; some scattered areas of erosion on barrel confined primarily to the left side; accompanied by a handwritten 5-page letter signed by Thomas Morris Christensen, purported grandson of Thomas Morris (Hacksaw) Christensen (1880-1955) regarding family recollections of Hacksaw’s life, travels, adventures and jobs throughout the West; also Xerox copies of numerous family photographs, additional typewritten and handwritten information on Hacksaw and extended family, plus a copy of the Dec. 1998 National Newspaper of the Old West “The Tombstone Epitaph” with an extensive article on Hacksaw Tom.
