Civil War rig consisting of a leather flap holster, belt, sword hanger, cap pouch: Model 1851 Officers belonged to David Humphreys Miller’s grandfather who served in the Civil War with note signed by this artist’s widow in 1992 after his passing. Miller was a noted San Diego area artist who painted portraits of 72 Indian warriors of the battle of the Little Big Horn. Miller spent several months on the Pine Ridge Reservation in 1935 and heard firsthand accounts of the Custer Battle. Est.: $600-$1,200.
