Early Spencer "Army Rifle" .52 rimfire cal., six groove rifling, serial # 4645, similar to Spencers delivered to Wilder's Lightning Brigade. Refer to Flayderman (9B-093) which states 11,470 were delivered and front sight doubles as a bayonet lug. Very good condition with traces of finish mixed in a light patina (light blue and silvery case discernable). Stocks are very good with some minor cracks and small losses, and are lightly cleaned but fit well. Side lock stamps at left breech with no other inspections which is common. Sharp address on frame, correct rear sight and small parts. Good action and clean bore. An above average example with a serial number that may be researchable through Springfield Research Service records. Est. $1750-3500
