U.S. Second Model Allin Conversion to 50-70 cal. from Civil War musket. Lock dated 1863 with breech block dated 1870 showing eagle and U.S. along with all features correct as issued on this model. Refer to Flayderman (9A-356). Good to very good overall, condition with sharp marking on lock and original "arsenal bright" metal. Light normal aging and slight discoloration, but generally crisp metal. Stocks also very good with rack marking 1B in left butt stock and 13 on underside of forend. Crisp and sharp retaining " quenched blue" on rear sight. Rod and small parts all retained, an 8 plus on a 1-10 scale. Est $800-1600
