A rare and entirely original 17th Century North European broadsword with 30 inch blade and 36 inches overall. Steel hilt with side ring filled with a pierced plate and thumb ring on inner side. The blade deeply struck on each side with the King's head mark of the Wundes family of swordsmiths. Sword is in good original condition throughout. Grip wire missing but good wood grip is original with brass Turk's heads intact. These period 1660 swords are classic cavalry weapons and very hard to find. Compare to Southwick figure 239, page 93.
