Beautiful Colt Hartford English engraved Third Model Dragoon percussion revolver, .44 caliber, 7.5” barrel, wood grips, lanyard ring stud (no ring), S/N 225; overall very good condition with an even grey patina tometal surfaces, majority of cylinder scene remaining, crisp action, sharp markings with New York City barrel address, British proofs on cylinder and very good wood grips. Consignor states he purchased this Dragoon in March, 1991 when it was sold as part of the famous Robert Howard Colt Collection. Accompanied by a typewritten note providing information on the gun and the original sales receipt from 1991. (Antique).Est.: $8,000-$16,000.
