Colt Bisley Model Single Action revolver, .38 Special caliber, 7.5” barrel, blued and case hardened finish, checkered hard rubber grips, S/N 296802; overall good to very good condition showing what may be a well-done old re-finish to metal surfaces (right side of frame on lower strap shows punch dot wording, lightly visible “Baby Cannon”; crisp action, sharp markings and good grips; accompanied by a typewritten note covering observationson this Bisley and a factory letter indicating this gun was originally shipped with a 5.5” barrel and in .32/20 caliber to Simmons Hardware Co., St. Louis, MO. on July 15, 1907, 10 guns in shipment; under Remarks, Colt notes “Regretfully, we do not have rework records available and cannot furnish any further information”. Post 1898 firearms must be shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensee in your place of residence. All Federal, State and Local Regulations apply and MUST be strictly followed.
