Stevens Conlin type .22 Tip-Up Target Pistol period engraved with rich gold and blue finish, pearl grips and inscribed on butt “May C Anton” or “Canton”. 8” half round/half octagon barrel, S/N 19145. Unusualadjustable for windage target type rear sight and match high bead front sight. Near fine condition with 80%-90% blue turning plum on barrel, 90%-95% toning rich gold plating, fine original pearl showing one small chip to bottom left grips. Bright bore with most original finish on small parts and screws. Very reminiscent of fold Stevens known to have belonged to Annie Oakley and the identity of Miss May could be as a trickshooter or Wild West performer who we could not locate. However in the 19th to early 20th century there were many shooting exhibitions in Europe that are not easily researched by computer search. A beautiful Stevens.(Antique) Est.: $4000-$8000
