British dueling style pistol marked “Sykes Oxford” converted from flintlock to percussion. Originally about 1800 and converted 1830s or later. Measures 15 ½” overall with a 8 ¾” barrel of .54 caliberrifled with set trigger. 30%-50% original brown with traces of case colors on lock. Some light rust and erosion that would clean but as found in a collection. 30%-50% blue on mounts. The wood is good to very good. Theramrod wood is broken but retains brass tip. A quality pistol that would improve with T.L.C. (Antique) Est.: $700-1400
