Pair of good quality miquelet flintlock pistols with checkered stocks and blued barrels circa 1800-1830. Some silver inlay on both barrels with a fluer de li and illegible makers mark. Measures 11 ½” overall with a 6 ¼” barrel of approximately .60 caliber smoothbore. Good working condition with ramrods and belt hooks retained. Considerable original blued finish remaining with fairly sharp and fine basket weavecheckered grips. Lightly engraved steel mounts with squared off empire style butts. Exactly the type of pistol that could have been carried by an officer in Napoleonic era. (Antique) Est.: $2000-$4000
