Winchester Model 1866 .44 rimfire S.R.C. fully deluxe period engraved with portraits in circular panels on each side of the frame (Dog on left side and antelope on the right). Fine leaf and scroll border engraving with a very similar example of engraving visible in T.G.C.A. Arms Annual published by S.P. Stevens. Traces of gold gilt on sharp frame with no evidence of serial number visible on tang (Appears never to have been stamped).Matching numbers on tang, butt plate and stock. The barrel and tube show 10%-20% blue with balance gone to gray brown. Full and crisp address. Correct sight and bands with interesting contemporary swivels. The stocksare good to very good with excellent wood to metal fit and minor scratches, age and slight wear. The bore is bright. Tight and works well.
