Persian Contract Model 98/29 Mauser bolt action rifle, 8 x 57 caliber, Serial #NSNV. The rifle was manufactured by BRNO for Iran with Farsi manufacturer markings on the side rails. The rifle is in good overallcondition with a 24” barrel with a protected blade front and military tangent style rear sights. The metal surfaces retain a significant amount of their military finish with a sharp Persian crest on the front ring. The smooth wood stock is in good condition with mars, dents and scrapes consistent with service use and is marked, “111” on the right side. The sling swivels, ramrod and leather sling are retained and the butt stock endswith a smooth steel butt plate. The bore is fair, the action functions and the markings are sharp. Est.: $300-$600. During the Holiday Season there are added surcharges for shipping therefore we will begin shipping for this auction January 4th. Buyer is responsible for all shipping costs including packing, materials, shipping, 2% of invoice total for insurance, custom fee, duty fees, exporter fee etc. International shipments are sent to an exporter. All oversized, extremely heavy & extremely fragile items the buyer is responsible for contacting a third-party shipping company for shipment. We ship Federal Express; we cannot ship to PO Boxes. Post 1898 firearms must be shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensee in your place of residence. All Federal, State and Local Regulations apply and MUST be strictly followed.
