German Mauser K98 bolt action rifle, 8 x 57 caliber, Serial #4029p. The rifle is in good overall condition with a 24” import marked barrel with a ramped blade front and military tangent style rear sights. The metalsurfaces have gone to a brown patina with light surface erosion and wear at the muzzle. The barrel is Nazi marked with an Eagle N proof. The front ring is coded “bnz” and dated 1944. The smooth wood stock is in good condition showing heavy wear and use. There are numerous dents and scrapes consistent with service use. The butt stock ends with a smooth steel butt plate which is slightly proud at the toe. The bore is fair, theaction functions and the markings are sharp on this WWII era Nazi marked Mauser.
