6 bore double barrel percussion shotgun signed “J.C. Grubb” at the top edge of both locks. Grubb was a high quality and well known Philadelphia maker. The gun shows late percussion era back action locks with 36”barrels engraved “London, fine twisted” with 4 thick silver bands at the breech and tang. Lightly engraved locks and mounts with double keys and small patch box in belly of the stock near butt. Shows quality throughout.The condition is good with considerable striped pattern Damascus and finish remaining within a natural patina. Works well with good wood showing some wear to checkering and minor imperfections. A period ramrod that is possibly the original is included. Found in northern California by early collector. Buyer is responsible for all shipping costs including packing, materials, shipping, 2% of invoice total for insurance, custom fee, duty fees, exporter fee etc. International shipments are sent to an exporter. All oversized, extremely heavy & extremely fragile items the buyer is responsible for contacting a third-party shipping company for shipment. We ship Federal Express; we cannot ship to PO Boxes. Post 1898 firearms must be shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensee in your place of residence. All Federal, State and Local Regulations apply and MUST be strictly followed.
