U.S. Springfield Model 1903 bolt action rifle, .30-06 caliber, 24” S.A. 1-38-dated barrel, blued finish, Lyman adjustable receiver-mounted rear sight, hooded front sight, wood stock with top front of forendstamped “D28179”, top of receiver tapped for mount and front portion appears to have been milled flat some time ago, S/N 1406705; overall very good + condition as modified with a very good to near fine bore, crispaction, sharp markings and very good stock; should be further researched.
