Wood mallet circa 19th-20th century out of pioneer days in Utah. Used by railroad man. Steel bands over hardwood. Measures 10” across the head and the shaft measures 28”. Hand carved and said to be from time of“Golden Spike”. 1866 and definitely 19th century. Good condition. Est.: $150-$300
