Southern European flintlock blunderbuss with hall marked iron barrel and early lock circa 1720-1760. Measures 31 1/2" overall with a 16 1/2" iron barrel flaring to 1 1/2" across the inside dimensions of muzzle with thickwalls and cannon ring at the mouth. Deep and well struck mark of angel or lady with bow and indecipherable maker's mark that shows crown and is likely Spanish or possibly Italian. Simple brass mounts with lightengraving on the side plate. Period ramrod. The action works well. The stocks are good with minor losses and imperfections. Light to heavy pitting on the barrel. A nice and early blunderbuss. (Antique) Est.:$1200-$1800
