Heavy barrel half stock percussion plains rifle with double keyed barrel in approximately .45 caliber with 32" barrel measuring 1 1/8" across the flats to outside edges. Note: 1231 stamped on the muzzle.Brass mounts with German nickel silver inlays and pewter fore end cap. Single trigger. "V" notch and blade front sight. Good overall with scattered pitting on the metal and moderate to heavy pitting on the lock whichworks well. The stock is good with minor losses and imperfections. Also light refinishing. Mountain man era 1840s to 60s. (Antique) Est.: $600-$1200
