Early European breast plate circa 15th-16th century possibly Italian. Armourer marked but not recognized. Shows early style forging, rivets, slag and impurities in early metal work. Simple border engraving or lines.Measures 17" from top bottom and 18" around center of curve. Provenance Thomas Del Mar-Sothby's London.
