Pair of miquelet flintlock pistols from early 19th century signed "Vilar D(E)" on the locks with marked two stage cannon barrels showing marks CH over MA and lion along with silver inlays. Square butts of empire styleand showing good quality manufacture throughout. The metal is lightly cleaned and in very good condition and also the stocks are lightly refinished in the European tradition. Measures 13 1/2" overall with 71/4" barrel of .60 plus smoothbore caliber showing cannon type ring and nicely worked and decorated.
