English flintlock fur trade era export pistol marked "Ketland & Co.". Measures 12 3/8" overall with 7 3/4" barrel of approximately .58 caliber smoothbore with brass mounts. The front of the trigger guard was purposely cut away and the stock inlet filled. The barrel shows "V" and "P" proofs and the metal condition is good with deep brown patina showing minor erosion and light to moderate pitting. The lock works but the spring isweak. The stock is god with minor imperfections. Circa about 1800-1830. (Antique) Est.: $300-$600
