Pair of early 19th century flintlock pistols with ornate silver overlay and mounts. The pistols were obtained in Algeria by a French Minister named Miston and have been consigned by his elderly grandson. The pair are 20”in overall length and approximately .65 caliber smoothbores. As found and uncleaned, the pistols have suffered serious wood loss around the lock with crude nail repairs on one of the pistols. One lock does not workand is in need of minor restoration and the silver is not rubbed out completely. The lot will include a letter of provenance from the consigner. Est.: $1,000-$2,000. (Antique).
