Snider carbine, .577 caliber, Serial #8924. The carbine is dated 1884 on the side plate and stock with “FA” markings. The carbine is in good overall condition with a 20 ½” barrel with a blade front and military ladder style rear sights. The metal surfaces have gone to a dark patina with brass fore end cap, trigger guard and butt plate. The side plate and stock are both stamped, “FA” indicating the carbine as part of aPortuguese contract out of South America. Est.: $175-$350. (Antique).
