Late 1st Generation Colt SAA revolver, .44-40 caliber, Serial #344713. The pistol is in fine overall condition with a 4 ¾” barrel marked, COLT FRONTIER SIX SHOOTER 44-40”. The pistol retains approximately 60% of themuted blue finish with significant dull case hardening still visible on the frame. The front sight has been filed and the grips are smooth wood replacements. The action is crisp, marking are sharp and the bore is good on this late 1st Gen in the desirable .44-40 chambering.
