Smith & Wesson 1st Model double action revolver, .44 caliber, Serial #36897. The pistol is in fine overall condition with a 6 ½” barrel with a solid rib, blade front sight with an ivory insert. The pistol retains asignificant amount of the thinning blue finish with wear at the muzzle and on the cylinder. The trigger and hammer show muted case hardening. The checkered hard rubber grips are in very good condition with goodfit. The bore is good, the action is crisp and the markings are sharp. Est.: $600-$1,200. (Antique).
