Early Savage Model 1899 lever action rifle, .30-30 caliber, Serial #31624. The rifle is in very good overall condition with a 23” octagon barrel with a blade front and Marble’s rear sights. The metal surfaceshave drifted to a grey/brown patina with sharp edges and crisp markings. The rotary magazine works well with the brass cartridge counter on the left side of the receiver. The smooth wood stock is in good conditionwith a small dark wood repair at the toe. The bore is good, the action is crisp and the markings are sharp on this early Model 99. Est.: $600-$1,200. (C+R).
