Marlin Model 97 Take Down lever action rifle, .22 caliber, Serial #414665. The rifle is in good overall condition with a 28” octagon barrel with a ¾ length magazine tube and a German silver knife blade front sight. Thebarrel and magazine are a pleasing plum patina with sharp edges. The receiver drifting from muted blue to brown patina with bright blue on the bolt and muted case hardening on the hammer. A period tang sight has been added during the period of use. The smooth wood stocks are in good condition with dents and mars. The butt stock ends with a ribbed steel butt plate. The bore is fair, the action functions and the markingsare sharp. Est.: $350-$700. (C+R).
