Virginia Manufactory 1st Model military style pistol dated 1805, showing Civil War conversion to percussion lock, well stamped Richmond and Virginia/Manufactory, .69 caliber. The pistol is 18” in overall length with a 12” barrel, dated 1805. The pistol is in as found, “Out of the Attic” condition showing surface rust and uncleaned erosion. The stocks show minor cracks and small losses. There are no visible marks on thebarrel, the lock works but is “Stiff”. A secondary Confederate pistol that was consigned to us by an estate broker who states this pistol was in the possession of a Black family from the South, who’s relativecarried it in the Civil War. Refer to Flayderman 68-059. Note-Successful buyer will be provided family information as to the individual who most likely carried it as a free man in the Civil War. Est.:$1,500-$3,000. (Antique).
