19th century French short sword with cast eagle grip and pommel retaining its original scabbard. Arsenal marked crown R under beak. Double grooved fullers in blade. Measures 24 1/2" overall with a 18 1/4" blade. Goodcondition except scabbard shows loss of tip and damage and wear to leather body. Desirable type carried by artillery and sappers. Est.: $700-$1400
