German Saxony Court Degen model 1816, old pattern. Degen has a triple acid etched 5/8” wide nickel blade with scrolled leaf and panoply of arms motifs and Saxon crest. Some rust spots. Double clamshell guard has hinged reverse side. Acanthus carved pommel and quillon. Replaced wrapped wire on grip. Screw-off tang button. Original leather scabbard has two brass mounts and frog button. Saxon 1890-1916 with stamped “Balance Scale” logo of Alcoso; Alex Coppel. Blade is 33” long and 38 ½” overall. Est.: $150-$300
