Ensemble consisting of two swords and large poster belonging to Oscar La Fayette who was the grandson of the Marquis D' La Fayette who served in America under George Washington during the revolution and was a significant historical figure in the founding U.S.A. Oscar La Fayette was born 1815 and died 1881. He served in Algeria as an artillery officer, senator and secretary of war.
