Rare and desirable Walther P-88 semi automatic pistol, #006450, 9mm cal., 4 1/8" barrel, blued finish adjustable sights, ambidextrous decocking lever, with black checkered grips. This pistol remains in near excellent overall condition, retaining 98% original finish, bore is excellent, action is crisp, and grips are excellent. These extremely high quality pistols were designed for police use, but proved too expensive foragencies, and were offered to the public as a result. Walther stopped production after less than 10,000 were made, because production cost exceeded market value, which at the time was significant.
