1790s Era Austrian Flintlock Military Issue pistol with brass mounts and full stock in approximately .69 caliber smoothbore. Measures 17” overall with a 10 ¼” barrel. Traces of markings on the lock and no visible dates or proofs. Original flintlock configuration with correct hammer, frizzen and small parts. The stock is good with some compression and cracks and opening up around pin or wedge port. Good uncleaned darkpatina. The Austrian military was highly regarded in the Napoleonic era which was slightly later but this pistol still in the service most likely with heavy cavalry or dragoon officers.
