Half stocked American plains rifle marked “A.J. Sutherland, Ann Arbor Mich. (Star) 130 35” on the barrel and #150 on the tang with 33” medium to slightly heavy weight octagon barrel. Brass mounts with single trigger.German silver inlay of reclining stag above the trigger on the left. There is a compression crack in the left fore end extended 10 ½” from the front to rear. Also a piece of wood above the lock glued andnailed back during use (Well done). The action is working. Later rear sight with long front sight made of stag horn or antler. Generally good overall.
