Colt SAA factory engraved with carved eagle grips set with diamond eye, S/N 278771. Factory letter confirms factory engraved, nickel finish, .45 caliber with 4 ¾” barrel, shipped to H&D Folsom Arms, New York, NewYork, June 18, 1906 with 1 gun in shipment. This Colt remains in excellent original condition retaining the majority of its original finish. Very slight aging and 95%-98% plus estimated original nickel. Crisp and sharp edges and markings. The grips are not listed but definitely period and possibly supplied by Folsom. The grips are beautifully carved and fit well with iridescent rainbow hues with quality carving. The eye is set with a small diamond in jeweler made gold bezel. The bore is bright and the front sight is its unaltered and full original heights.
