Stunning Smith & Wesson 1st Model Double Action Revolver in .44 S&W Caliber with deluxe Nimschke style scroll engraving, nickel plated, and pearl grips, S/N 12501. 85%-95% original unpolished bright nickelremains with some even loss on the backstrap. 90%-95% bright original blue on the trigger guard. 75%-85% case colors on the hammer and trigger. Sharp and crisp with excellent address. The blue is retained on the smallparts and screws. The grips are also near fine. The action is good and the bore is bright. The barrel measures 4” with early double grooved cylinder circa Mid-1880s. Likely New York shipped to Robinson or othermajor dealer though no letter available at this time of cataloging.
