J.P. Sauer & Sohn hammer double rifle, approximately 11mm caliber, Serial #1012. The rifle is in fine overall condition with 26 ½” barrels with a full-length filed rib with a crisp Sauer barrel address, foldingtwo-leaf express sights and period claw scope mounts. The barrels retain a significant amount of thinning blue finish. The receiver is exquisitely engraved with 65%-75% coverage showing toning case hardening. Thereceiver has a desirable long tang, third bite doll’s head, double set triggers and horn trigger guard. The finely checkered Walnut stock has a splinter fore end, horn grip cap, beaded cheek piece and basket weave steel butt plate with a bullet trap providing a 13 ½” LOP. There are 1” cracks on both sides of the wrist. The bores are good, the action is crisp and the markings are sharp. The water table shows Germanproofs and inspection marks, while the barrels are black powder proofed. A fine German double by one of the most well-known manufacturers. Est.: $1,250-$2,500. (Antique).

Shipping can take up to 6-8 weeks. Buyer pays all packing, material, handling, shipping costs and 2% of invoice amount for insurance. International Shipments will be sent to an exporter and buyer agrees to pay all costs incurred including all shipping costs, insurance, exporter fees and all custom & applicable duty fees.
