A “Best” quality London Double Barrel 12 GA percussion shotgun by Forsyth & Co. Engraved and signed bolted back action locks with Forsyth dolphin hammers. The barrels measure 28” with raised rib signed in full “Forsyth & Co. Patent Gunmakers London”. Platinum blow out plugs. Engraved trigger guard, S/N 1151 circa 1835. Steel butt plate. Highly figured, checkered walnut stock. Gun retains original brass tipped ramrod. Condition is good withDamascus pattern on barrels with staining to metal surfaces. Checkering is worn. Tight crack in the wrist that does not go through. Reverend Alexander Forsyth was the inventor of the fulminate system and his companyproduced guns the equal of Purdey or Boss. See W. All over-sized, fragile or bulky items are the buyer's responsibility to have a third party shipper pick up and deliver.We do not ship to address' outside the United States.
Shipping can take up to 6-8 weeks. Buyer pays all packing, material, handling, shipping costs and 2% of invoice amount for insurance. International Shipments will be sent to an exporter and buyer agrees to pay all costs incurred including all shipping costs, insurance, exporter fees and all custom & applicable duty fees.
Post 1898 firearms must be shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensee in your place of residence. All Federal, State and Local Registration and Regulations apply and must be strictly followed. It is the responsibility of the buyer to know and follow the laws and regulations of their home state regarding firearms. It is the buyer's responsibility to know gun laws in their area.
