A rare Lindsay two shot percussion pocket pistol with extra factory engraving. .41 caliber with a 4” fluted octagonal barrel. Made by the Union Knife Company early in the 1860s in limited quantities. Flaydermanestimates a few hundred. This one features the usual patriotic engraving on the sides of the barrel with a stag engraved on the left side of the frame and a hunting dog on the right. The barrel shows some pitting butengraving fairly clear. Brass frame with some wear but fine unpolished golden patina like a good Henry rifle. Walnut grips with no finish but fit well. These Lindsay two shots are rarely encountered and the stag and dogengraving makes this example special. (Antique) Est.: $1200-$1500
