Colt Model 1839 Paterson carbine in .52 caliber smoothbore with a 24" barrel and attached rammer, S/N 344. Matching major components except correct mismatched wedge. Very good plus condition 30%-50% originalbrown finish on the barrel showing some very minor erosion and pinprick pitting. The address is 3/4 visible beneath the rammer and some markings faintly visible on the cylinder. Good action and crisp metal withsmall losses but generally good plus. A far better than average Paterson Model 1839. (Refer Flayderman 5B-014.5). Outline of inspector's mark on center right of the buttstock. Used in Seminole wars and near the range of possible purchase by state of Texas 1839. (Antique) Est.: $14,000-$28,000

Shipping can take up to 6-8 weeks. Buyer pays all packing, material, handling, shipping costs and 2% of invoice amount for insurance.
