American Flintlock "Rural" type Kentucky pistol circa early 1800s. Lock marked "J. J. Henry Philadelphia". Measures approximately 15" overall with a 3/8" smoothbore barrel of approximately .52-54 caliber. Very light andcrude construction with sheet brass guard and as simply and cheaply hand produced as possible. The lock and barrel are in the black and uncleaned. Original flintlock with correct small parts. The stock shows most ofits reddish varnish with many small dings, mars, scratches and a small loss around the rear of the lock. The barrel is crudely attached to the tang with German silver "Joint". This pistol weighs about half thenormal weight and was a cheap "Blue light Special" probably made for pioneers headed west at a low price or a trade piece. 100% genuine to the 19th Century. Shipping can take up to 6-8 weeks. Buyer pays all packing, material, handling, shipping costs and 2% of invoice amount for insurance. International Shipments will be sent to an exporter and buyer agrees to pay all costs incurred including all shipping costs, insurance, exporter fees and all custom & applicable duty fees.
Post 1898 firearms must be shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensee in your place of residence. All Federal, State and Local Registration and Regulations apply and must be strictly followed. It is the responsibility of the buyer to know and follow the laws and regulations of their home state regarding firearms. It is the buyer's responsibility to know gun laws in their area.
