British proofed Mid-18th century flintlock pistol with brass mounts. Measures 13 1/2" overall with a 7 3/4" barrel of approximately .60 caliber smoothbore. Original flintlock with frizzen spring and screw replaced.Scattered light to moderate pitting. The wood is good with a crack near the butt and small losses. Correct style metal tipped rammer. Lightly engraved brass mounts "I F" or "L F" barrel maker's mark between British proofs.Circa about 1750-1780 and French and Indian to Revolutionary War era. Shipping can take up to 6-8 weeks. Buyer pays all packing, material, handling, shipping costs and 2% of invoice amount for insurance. International Shipments will be sent to an exporter and buyer agrees to pay all costs incurred including all shipping costs, insurance, exporter fees and all custom & applicable duty fees.
Post 1898 firearms must be shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensee in your place of residence. All Federal, State and Local Registration and Regulations apply and must be strictly followed. It is the responsibility of the buyer to know and follow the laws and regulations of their home state regarding firearms. It is the buyer's responsibility to know gun laws in their area.
