Custom Pre-War Oberndorf Mauser GEW 98 bolt action sporting rifle, .220 Swift caliber, Serial #7965. The rifle is in fine overall condition with a 26” barrel. The metal surfaces retain nearly all the blue finishwith a jeweled bolt, double set triggers and checkered bolt handle. The receiver is marked with German proofs, the front ring is dated 1915 and all visible serial numbers are matching. The finely checkered Walnut stock has beautiful figure in the butt stock, stippled steel grip cap and custom checkering. The butt plate is hand etched with engraved screw heads and provides a 14” LOP to the front trigger. The rifle istopped with a one-piece Redfield mount and rings. The bore is good, the action is crisp and the markings are sharp on this post WWI era Sporter in the venerable .220 Swift chambering. Est.: $400-$800. (C+R).

Shipping can take up to 6-8 weeks. Buyer pays all packing, material, handling, shipping costs and 2% of invoice amount for insurance. International Shipments will be sent to an exporter and buyer agrees to pay all costs incurred including all shipping costs, insurance, exporter fees and all custom & applicable duty fees.
Post 1898 firearms must be shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensee in your place of residence. All Federal, State and Local Registration and Regulations apply and must be strictly followed. It is the responsibility of the buyer to know and follow the laws and regulations of their home state regarding firearms. It is the buyer's responsibility to know gun laws in their area.
